About the
HPH Training Program...
The Howington training program is a very special combination of both Dawn and Rusty's ideas and methods, as well as those
from numerous of friends and mentors. From Dawns' side comes a strong influence in Western Pleasure, All-Around,
and Dressage. Rustys' side brings a strong influence in Western Pleasure, Reining, and Cow Horse. Put all of this
experience together and there is a lot of ground covered! Add a great colt program influenced by Ray Hunt and all the
pieces fit together. The program is quiet, simple, and to the point...and it produces horses that are that way too.
Over the years, separately and together, the Howington team has produced very successful horses
in a variety of events. They both have and continue to show with several associations including AQHA, PHBA, IBHA, NRHA,
and NRCHA. Their horses and their clients' horses have earned ROMs, Superiors, Championships, All-Arounds, National
Hi-Points, World Championships and Top Tens in events from Lunge Line to Working Cow Horse.
The heart of the Howington training programs include both their Youth and Non-Pro riders which means that the majority
of the horses are riden with this in mind. It is very important for their Youth and Non-Pro riders to go to a show with
or without them and be competitive...and the riders seem to like this theology as well!! These horses
don't require a PHD - just go ride, have fun, and let your horse do his job.
Take advantage of over 70 years experience with the Howington team and give them a call today for training
